Interpreters' Breakfast Treat
Last year on 20th November 2004 we invited our interpreters to come to our home for breakfast with our Deafies who go to Breakthru Church . David, some Deafies and I cooked breakfast - wow - so delicious! We sat and enjoyed breakfast under our huge tree - cool and breezy.

We want to say ‘Thank-you' to our interpreters who gave their time for us and sign for us in our church. Praise God that there are more signers.

Hallelujah! Their names are Nola, Charmaine, Jennifer and the new ones are Meryl and Shirley.

Christmas Carols
On Sunday, 19th December 2004 , our church had a Christmas Carol evening with a difference. Charmaine and Meryl sang the carols in Sign Language - beautiful songs which were so special about Jesus. After that we had a hot dinner and delicious pudding. There were beautiful decorations on the tables. There were 9 of us (Deafies) at one table. A wonderful evening!

Our New Church
Two and a half years ago God called Stephen & Jennifer Duff (H) to plant a church in Boksburg from CLC ( Covenant Life Church ) in Benoni. They drove up and down the streets of Boksburg praying for a venue and came across two venues; A Girl Guides hall that was used about twice a week and the Synagogue that had been standing empty for two years, both close to each other. They took the Girl Guides hall which has been a wonderful venue but is now too small. For about a year they had seriously been praying for their own venue with larger facilities.

After many negotiations and much prayers - a miracle happened! The Synagogue was bought by someone who gave the keys to the Duffs and said they could stay there rent free. That night they had a prayer meeting in their new venue with thanksgiving celebration and worship to our wonderful God for His provision. Steve closed in prayer with Psalm 21 v 1 - 13. There was an opening celebration on 25 July 2004 with much dancing, drama and worship. There are now about 10 - 12 Deafies in our church. Praise the Lord!

On 19 February 2005 the Deaf Get-Together was held there -23 Deafies from different churches came. David Mansell (D) preached about “Blessings”.
