Our holiday to NZ & OZ

On 3rd June we flew out to New Zealand with Reggie & Elizabeth Amond (D).Trevor & Anita Petersen (D) met us at the airport. Early next morning (5th) Trevor and Anita had a good plan to take us in a hired combi to Rotuaro and Taupo. We visited the sheep farm, Maori Culture place then to the Geyser (hot water springing out of the ground) and saw thousands of white dots (sheep) all over the green farms. We stayed at the lovely chalet for two nights - lovely rooms but very cold.

On Sunday Trevor planned to take us to Mt. Ruapehu outside Taupo by cableway but we heard of heavy snow there. So I asked Trevor to take us and have a look at the beauty of the mountain. When we got there, everything was so white that we got excited and got off the car. We all had a fun in the snow. Wonderful!

On Monday (7th) we all went to meet the South African deaf emigrants at Rodney & Melanie Simchowitz's (D) home. It was great to see them again and we had lunch together. The next day in the evening we had a homecell at Janet's (New Zealander) home and there we met different foreign and local people eg. Maori , Tonga , Irish, South Africans and New Zealanders.

They all shared their testimonies how they came to know the Lord. Very exciting to see how the Lord changed their lives. After that we had a good time of sharing and chatting.

We only stayed there for a week before we flew to Australia to be with our son, Michael and Debbie and David's two brothers (one from UK and the other one lives in Australia ).
