Inge and I spent one month holiday with my family in Portugal . My parents live in Leiria, about 130 kms north of Lisbon.

On 2 May we went to Viseu to celebrate my grand- father's 90th birthday - a huge party! We managed to see all of my maternal families at one go and then during our holiday we visited my paternal families. We travelled, visiting many different interesting places and went on two lovely boat cruises along Mondego and Duoro Rivers - beautiful! We met some families and deaf friends (ex-South Africans). After one enjoyable and worthwhile month we returned home. Vanda dos Santos of Lisbon (from SA), my deaf cousin, Tina and my family came to the airport to see us off.

Since Portugal is dominantly Roman Catholic country, we haven't met the other single deaf Protestant believer there. Pray for the Portuguese Deaf to come to know the Lord Jesus as their Saviour.
